1.0 Downloading the app

Depending on your mobile device you’ll either go to the App Store or Google Play and search for the CASHFLOWNAV app.

  1. On your mobile device, open the app store
  2. In the search bar, enter ‘CASHFLOWNAV’
  3. Select the CASHFLOWNAV app in the search results by pressing ‘download’

2.0 Signing in

To operate the CASHFLOWNAV app you need to log in using an email address and password. Alternatively, select “Sign in with Xero” to use your Xero credentials to sign in. Once you have authorised with Xero, your Xero ID will be associated with your CASHFLOWNAV account, providing a seamless login each time thereafter.

If you do not already have a login, create an account by pressing the ‘Create New’ button. This is where you will enter your basic personal details, including name, email address, phone number and password. An account can also be registered by following the CASHFLOWNAV app link on the Xero Marketplace.

Once you have entered all the required fields and agreed to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy you will be able to proceed by pressing ‘Create Account’.

You will automatically be redirected to a verification screen to verify your email address and phone number. You will not be able to progress beyond this point until both have been verified.

Once verified, you will continue to the business account screen. This is where you can enter some basic business information, such as your industry, phone number, address, and amount of employees.

**You will stay logged in to the app unless you have been inactive for 2 hours for security reasons

3.0 Account Portal

Once you have logged in to the CASHFLOWNAV app you will then be redirected to the Portal screen.

From here you can:

  • Import from Xero
  • Manually enter figures
  • Access saved scenarios
  • Access business and general settings

3.1 Importing from Xero

By selecting ‘Import from Xero’ from the account portal you will be redirected to log in to your Xero account.

  1. Log in to Xero account
  2. Select which two financial years of data you would like to import.
  3. Enter remaining data
  4. Enter the growth percentage

Xero will pull your selected data in the given time range from your Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports. You will then be taken to the summary page where you can view/edit your financial statement and graph (refer to section 4.0).

3.2 Manual Entry

This is where you can manually enter your data. You can select from either comparative or whole year entry.

3.2.1 Comparative entry

Comparative entry allows you to input data at the same time for both financial years.

  1. Select your start and end year
  2. Enter all financial items side by side for each year
  3. Enter the growth percentage

You will then be taken to the summary page where you can view/edit your financial statement and graph (refer to section 4.0).

3.2.2 Whole Year Entry

Whole Year Entry allows you to put a whole year’s worth of financial data at one time.

  1. Select your start and end year
  2. Enter all financial items for one year
  3. Enter all financial items for the other year
  4. Enter the growth percentage

You will then be taken to the summary page where you can view/edit your financial statement and graph (refer to section 4.0).

3.3 Summary, Score Page, Financial Page and CASHFLOWNAV Chart

3.3.1 Summary Page

The summary page shows all the figures side by side and allocates them accordingly to the profit and loss statement and balance sheet.

**Here you are also able to edit the input fields as required.

once you are satisfied, press submit, and you will be redirected to the score/financial/chart pages.

3.3.2 Score Page

On this page, you will see a summary of your CASHFLOWNAV Factors across the years and you have the ability to adjust forecast year value.

Simply use the navigation tool at the top of the page to view the financial page or chart.

3.3.3 Financial Page

You will be able to see the CASHFLOWAV Factors for each financial item as well as additional calculations such as, operating cash flow and working cash flow.

3.3.4 CASHFLOWNAV Chart

The chart shows 3 things, operating cash flow, operating profit and the CASHFLOWNAV Factor.

Here you will have the ability to increase or decrease your CASHFLOWNAV Factor to see how your operating profit and cash flow change.

3.4 Saved Scenarios 

This is where you can access any saved scenarios from past figures you have uploaded. Simply select from the list and view a snapshot of your financial summary and chart.

3.5 Business Settings

Here you are able to edit your business settings; update settings, delete account or update your subscription to unlock more features.

4.0 General Settings  

You can locate the general settings at the top right of the screen. Here you will be able to edit your profile, disconnect from Xero, visit the BUSINESSNAV website, access support and log out.
